How to maintain diesel engine fire pump set
The maintenance of diesel engine fire pump set is the key to ensure its long-term stable operation and high-efficiency performance. This article is about the detailed steps and precautions for how to maintain diesel engine fire pump set:
I. Daily inspection and maintenance
1. Fuel and lubricating oil inspection:
Check the fuel level in the fuel tank to ensure that the oil storage is sufficient and add as needed.
Check the oil level in the oil pan to ensure that the oil reaches the mark on the oil dipstick. If it is insufficient, it should be added to the specified amount, but it cannot exceed the upper limit of the scale mark.
2. Cooling system inspection:
Check whether there is enough water in the water tank. If it is insufficient, it should be replenished in time. The added water should be clean fresh water.
In the north (ambient temperature is below zero degrees), antifreeze with appropriate freezing point must be configured according to the local minimum temperature.
3. Lubrication system inspection:
Check whether there is sufficient lubricating grease in the oil filling point of the water pump. If it is insufficient, use an oil gun to inject sufficient lubricating grease into it.
4. Sealing inspection:
Check the three leaks (water, oil, and gas), check the sealing surface at the oil pipe and water pipe joints, and if there is leakage, it should be solved immediately.
5. Battery maintenance:
Check the acid in the battery. The liquid level should generally be 10-15mm higher than the top surface of the plate. If it is abnormal, add dilute sulfuric acid or distilled water with a specific gravity of 1.400g/cm³ to adjust the specific gravity to 1.280±0.005 (30℃).
External cleaning:
Clean the surface of the diesel engine and its accessories. Use a dry cloth or a rag soaked in diesel to wipe off the oil stains, water and dust on the surface of the fuselage, turbocharger, cylinder head cover, air filter, etc.
II. Regular maintenance and care
1. Filter replacement:
According to the requirements of the operation manual, regularly replace the fuel filter and oil filter to ensure the cleanliness of the fuel and oil.
2. System cleaning:
Regularly clean the fuel system and lubrication system to remove carbon deposits and impurities to ensure the smoothness and efficiency of the system.
3. Fastener inspection:
Regularly check the installation of various accessories of the diesel engine, including the stability of the installation of each accessory, the anchor screws and the firmness of the connection with the working machinery.
4. Electrical system inspection:
Regularly check the integrity of electrical circuits and electrical components to ensure the normal operation of the electrical system.
5. Diesel engine performance test:
Regularly perform performance tests on diesel engines, including power, fuel consumption, emissions and other indicators to ensure that the diesel engine is in good condition.
