Gear oil pump operation process

13-08-2024

The operation process of the gear oil pump mainly includes the steps of preparation before use, maintenance during operation, flow adjustment and stopping operation. The following is a detailed operation process:

1. Preparation before use

Check the pump and motor:

Make sure the pump and motor are not stuck and operate flexibly.

Check whether the packing is tight to prevent leakage.

Check whether the connection of each component is firm and reliable.

Check whether the lubricating oil (grease) is appropriate to ensure good lubrication.

Open the discharge valve and valve:

Before starting, the discharge valve and the relevant valves on the discharge pipeline must be opened to prevent pressure buildup or burn out of the motor.

Check the oil tank and oil:

Make sure there is enough oil in the oil tank, generally maintaining an oil volume of about 85%.

Use working oil with specified oil number, such as No. 10 or No. 20 mechanical lubricating oil, or other hydraulic oil with similar characteristics.

The oil must be filtered and the oil tank must be cleaned regularly to keep the oil clean.

Check grounding and insulation:

Make sure the gear oil pump housing is well grounded to prevent leakage.

Check the insulation layer of the power supply line to ensure safety.

2. Maintenance during operation

It is forbidden to close the discharge valve:

During operation, it is forbidden to close the discharge valve to prevent pressure buildup or burn out of the motor.

Observe the working conditions:

Use the method of "listening to the sound, looking at the instrument, and touching the temperature" to keep track of the working conditions at any time.

Ensure that all parts are well lubricated and deal with abnormalities in a timely manner.

Adjust the flow:

If the flow needs to be adjusted, the bypass valve can be opened for adjustment.

3. Flow regulation

The flow regulation of the gear oil pump is mainly achieved by adjusting the opening degree of the bypass valve. When adjusting the flow size as needed, the bypass valve can be opened or closed appropriately to achieve the ideal flow output.

4. Stop operation

Loosen the return oil valve:

When stopping operation, the return oil valve should be slowly loosened first to gradually release the pressure.

Observe the pressure gauge:

After the pressure gauge pointer slowly returns to zero, remove the oil pipe joint nut of the jack or other equipment.

Cleaning and maintenance:

After stopping operation, the gear oil pump should be cleaned and maintained to remove oil stains and impurities.

Check the wear of each component and replace the severely worn components in time.

Precautions

Safety valve setting: The safety valve must be adjusted according to the rated oil pressure of the equipment to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.

Oil management: Regularly replace the oil and clean the oil tank to keep the oil clean and the oil level normal.

Working environment: The gear oil pump should be placed in a dry, clean environment without corrosive gases.

Gear oil pump

Electrical safety: Regularly check the power supply line and grounding to ensure electrical safety.

Following the above operating procedures and precautions can ensure the safe and efficient operation of the gear oil pump and extend its service life.
