To improve the suction of the sewage pump, you can start from the following aspects:
1. Optimize the pipeline design
Reduce the pipe bends: Reducing the bends in the water inlet pipe can reduce the water flow resistance, thereby improving the suction of the sewage pump.
Reduce the drop height: Reducing the drop height of the water inlet pipe helps to reduce the potential energy loss of the water flow in the pipe and improve the suction of the pump.
Shorten the horizontal distance: Shortening the horizontal distance of the water inlet pipe can also reduce the water flow resistance and improve the suction of the pump.
2. Install auxiliary equipment
Install the vacuum pump: Install the vacuum pump on the suction pipe of the sewage pump. You can start the vacuum pump before starting the water pump, so that the suction pipe of the water pump is filled with water first, so as to ensure that the water pump can start automatically and quickly, and improve the suction. However, it should be noted that this water suction method requires a complete automatic control system to ensure the normal operation of the pump.
Install the water suction bottom valve: Install the water suction bottom valve at the end of the suction pipe of the sewage pump to ensure that the water flow can only enter the suction pipe from the pool without backflow. In this way, even if the axis of the pump is higher than the working water level of the pool, due to the effect of the water suction bottom valve, the water in the water suction pipe will not flow into the pool, thereby ensuring that the water suction pipe is always full of water and improving the suction of the pump. The reliability of the water suction bottom valve is affected by its quality, so a water suction bottom valve with reliable quality should be selected.
3. Adjust the pump body structure
Increase the large circumferential speed of the impeller outlet and the outlet width of the impeller blade: On the premise that the flow rate and head of the pump meet the use requirements, the large circumferential speed of the impeller outlet can be increased by increasing the impeller speed directly by increasing the impeller, and the outlet width of the impeller blade can be appropriately increased. This can increase the suction of the pump, but it is necessary to be careful not to change the basic performance parameters of the pump.

Adjust the area of the reflux hole: within the critical reflux hole area, when the reflux hole area increases, the self-priming time decreases, and the self-priming height decreases accordingly. In this way, a certain amount of water can be stored in the suction tank, and since the height of the outlet pipe of the suction tank (that is, the suction pipe of the pump) is lower than the water level in the pipe, it can ensure that the suction pipe of the pump is full of water, thereby improving the suction force of the pump.
Accelerate gas-liquid separation: Setting up a gas-liquid separation acceleration device can accelerate gas-liquid separation, thereby shortening the self-priming time. A simple gas-liquid separation acceleration device is to add a baffle in the gas-liquid separation chamber. As long as the structure allows, a baffle should be set in the gas-liquid separation chamber to accelerate the separation of gas and liquid.
