How to maintain the water pump when not in use
When the water pump is not in use, it cannot be placed randomly. In order to extend its service life, it needs to be properly maintained. For unused Takata water pumps, they should be placed in a dry, clean or non-corrosive gas environment to prevent some pollutant gases from corroding the equipment.
Before using the water pump, the grounding wire must be reliable, and at the same time, check whether each terminal is firm, and check whether the power supply voltage and rated voltage are consistent.
If abnormal noise or other abnormal phenomena occur during use, the machine should be stopped immediately and the cause should be checked until the abnormality is eliminated before it can be put into normal use. Of course, Takata pumps are not suitable for idling, because the motor can reach about 10,000 rpm at no load. When using, stop the pump immediately after the liquid is sucked. Otherwise, the universal joint impeller will be worn out, and the pump pipe will be damaged in severe cases.
For unused water pumps, regular inspections should be carried out. Generally, it should be inspected once every three months. During maintenance, it is best to disassemble all of them, remove the dust and oil inside, and replace damaged parts in time if they are found.
