Installation tips for vertical centrifugal pumps
Here are some installation tips for vertical centrifugal pumps that will help ensure proper installation and stable operation of the pump:
1. Select the installation location:
Choose an installation location that is flat, stable, and capable of withstanding heavy loads and earthquakes. The installation location should be as close as possible to the water source to reduce pipeline length and energy loss. Consider the surrounding environment and ensure that the installation location will not be affected by surrounding equipment or the environment.
2. Measurement and preparation:
Use measuring tools to accurately measure the height of the inlet, outlet and centerline to ensure alignment of the pump and pipeline. Based on the measurement results, set aside a reasonable height for the shock absorber or cushion.
3. Foundation and base installation:
The prefabricated foundation should be flat, solid, and made to the size and shape of the pump base. The base should be fixed horizontally and can be checked and adjusted using a level. When installing, rigid connections or flexible connections can be used, depending on the use environment and needs.
4.Pipeline installation:
If the pipeline is not installed, draw a drawing based on the center line of the pump inlet and outlet, and install the pipeline correctly to ensure that the inlet and outlet pipelines are on the same center line, and install a support frame near the pipeline inlet and outlet. The water inlet pipe should avoid tilting upward and should be tilted toward the water source to reduce air accumulation and reduce vacuum.
5. Installation details:
During installation, avoid bending or pulling the impeller, shaft and pump body to prevent damage. Strictly prevent the inlet and outlet or flow channel from being blocked by debris to ensure the normal operation of the pump. Use soft straps for lifting to apply uniform force to the impeller to prevent the pump body from tilting or deforming.
6. Check after installation:
After the installation is completed, perform alignment, connection, welding and grounding of pipelines. Make sure each pipeline is well sealed and has no leaks. Carry out a test run to check whether the performance of the vertical centrifugal pump meets the requirements.
7. Installation of special pipeline components:
When the diameter of the water inlet pipe is larger than the water inlet, an eccentric reducing pipe should be installed, with the flat part on top and the inclined part on the bottom.
The lower section of the water inlet pipe equipped with the bottom valve should be vertical to ensure that the valve can close by itself and prevent water leakage.
The position of the water inlet of the water inlet pipe should be correct. The water inlet depth of small and medium-sized centrifugal pumps should not be less than 300-600mm, and the water inlet depth of large centrifugal pumps should not be less than 600-1000mm.
