Maintenance tips for stainless steel horizontal centrifugal pumps are essential for extending the service life of the pump and improving operating efficiency. Here are some key maintenance tips:
1. Daily operation and maintenance
Check the sealing:
Ensure that the sealing performance of the pump body and pipeline is good to prevent leakage.
Check the mechanical seal regularly and replace it in time if it is worn or leaking.
Control the operating parameters:
Avoid running the pump in a cavitation state, as this will seriously damage the pump body.
Control the flow and head of the pump within the range indicated on the nameplate to ensure that the pump operates at the highest efficiency point.
Motor protection:
If the pump is in a flow operation state, it is strictly forbidden to run the motor at overcurrent for a long time.
Check the motor direction and load regularly to ensure that the motor operates normally.
Special person guarding:
During the operation of the pump, there should be a special person guarding so that possible problems can be discovered and handled in time.
2. Lubrication and maintenance
Bearing lubrication:
Check the lubrication of the bearing regularly and add or replace the lubricating oil as needed.
For different types of lubrication methods (such as oil bath lubrication, circulating lubrication, etc.), ensure that the oil level remains within the specified range.
Grease selection:
The selection of grease should meet the operating requirements of the pump and avoid grease containing solid particles.
Replace lubricating oil:
In the first month of pump operation, replace the lubricating oil in the suspension oil chamber after 100 hours of operation.
After that, replace the lubricating oil every 500 hours of operation.
3. Regular inspection and maintenance
Check vibration and temperature:
Check the vibration of the pump regularly to determine the wear of the bearing.
The bearing temperature should be kept within a reasonable range, generally not exceeding 70℃~75℃.
Check fasteners:
Regularly check whether the fasteners of the pump body and connecting parts are loose. If they are loose, tighten them in time.
Clean and clean:
Keep the pump body and the surrounding environment clean to prevent dust and debris from entering the pump body.
Clean the sediment and impurities in the pump body regularly to ensure that the inside of the pump body is unobstructed.
4. Maintenance under special environment
Cold winter season:
When using the pump in the cold winter season, the drain screw at the bottom of the pump body needs to be unscrewed after parking to drain the medium to prevent freezing and cracking.
Long-term shutdown:
If the pump needs to be shut down for a long time, the pump should be completely disassembled, the water should be wiped off, the rotating parts and joints should be greased and properly stored.
5. Other precautions
Avoid foreign matter from entering:
It is strictly forbidden to enter the pump body with flexible materials such as metal objects, rubber, cotton yarn, plastic cloth, etc., so as not to damage the flow parts of the water pump and block the impeller flow channel.
Standby pump management:
For the standby pump installed in the production system, if it is not operated for a long time, the pump shaft should be rotated regularly to prevent the bearing from rusting and the shaft from bending.
Trial operation:
Newly installed or overhauled pumps should be tested before being put into operation to check whether the motor direction and pump operation are normal.
