Precautions for starting the circulation pump
Precautions when starting the circulating pump are an important part of ensuring the normal operation of the equipment and protecting the safety of equipment and personnel. The following are some key precautions:
1. Inspection before starting
Equipment integrity: Check whether the circulating pump and its related equipment (such as motors, seals, valves, etc.) are complete, without damage or abnormal phenomena.
Site and environment: Ensure that the pump room or operation area is clean, free of debris and maintenance residues, so as to facilitate operation and emergency treatment.
Electrical system: Contact the electrical department to supply power, and test whether the motor insulation is qualified and whether the motor housing is well grounded.
Valve status: Check whether the pump and system valve positions are normal, ensure that the inlet electric door is fully open and the outlet electric door is fully closed (some situations may be different and need to be adjusted according to the specific pump type and system requirements).
Pump body inspection: The coupling should be flexible, the bearing oil quality and oil level are normal, and the cooling water is appropriate. For high and low temperature circulating pumps, it is also necessary to check whether their specific working environment and conditions are met.
2. Start-up operation
Gradual start: Avoid speeding up the pump directly from a stationary state to a working state at one time. The pump speed should be gradually increased to reduce shock and pressure fluctuations.
Observe the operating parameters: After starting, pay attention to whether the current, outlet pressure, bearing sound, vibration, oil quality, oil level, temperature and other parameters are normal. If there is any abnormality, the machine should be stopped and checked immediately.
Open the outlet electric door: After the water pump is started, the outlet electric door should be opened in linkage to ensure smooth water flow.
3. Abnormal situation handling
Idle phenomenon: If the pump body is found to be idling during the startup process, check whether the water level line is higher than the pump body and adjust it in time.
Abnormal sound and vibration: If the circulating pump is found to have abnormal sound or abnormal vibration, it should be stopped and checked immediately to avoid equipment damage or accidents.
Motor overheating: Touch the motor housing with the back of your hand to check whether it is overheated. If the motor is overheated, it should be stopped and the cause should be found out.
4. Other precautions
Safe operation: Operators should wear labor protection supplies, abide by safety operating procedures, and ensure personal safety.
Record and report: Record the start time, operating parameters and abnormal conditions of the circulating pump in detail, report to the superior in time and follow up.
Regular maintenance: According to the requirements of the equipment maintenance manual, the circulating pump should be maintained regularly to ensure its long-term stable operation.
