Precautions for use of diesel engine fire pump set
Precautions for the use of diesel engine fire pump sets. To ensure its normal operation and effectively respond to emergency fire situations, operators should strictly abide by the following requirements:
1. Preliminary preparation
Workplace selection: Ensure that the workplace is dry and flat, and avoid water accumulation or muddy areas to prevent affecting the operation of the fire pump set.
Fuel inspection: Before operation, it is necessary to ensure that there is sufficient fuel supply in the fire pump set, and regularly check the quality and characteristics of the fuel to ensure that it meets the standards specified by the manufacturer.
2. Operation process
Start preparation: First, check whether the appearance of the fire pump set is intact, whether the connecting pipes are tight, and whether the pump body is leaking. Secondly, ensure that the main power supply of the fire pump set is turned on, and the diesel engine oil volume and coolant water level are within the normal range.
Start the diesel engine: Turn the diesel engine switch to the ON position, press the start button, and start the diesel engine. After the diesel engine coolant temperature reaches the normal range, the next step can be carried out.
Pipeline preparation: Check whether the pipeline and fire outlet are in normal condition, connect the fire pump to the pipeline and open the pipeline valve to be used.
Operation monitoring: During the operation of the fire pump group, its working status should be constantly monitored, including the speed of the diesel engine, the inlet and outlet water pressure of the water pump, etc. Once an abnormal situation is found, the operation should be stopped immediately and the problem should be found.
Shutdown operation: When it is no longer needed, the pump body inlet and outlet valves should be closed first, and then the diesel engine load should be gradually reduced. Finally, the diesel engine switch should be adjusted to OFF to stop its operation.
3. Safety precautions
Personal protection: Operators should wear personal protective equipment such as protective glasses, earplugs, gloves, safety shoes, etc. to ensure safe operation.
Anti-leakage measures: If fuel leakage is found, the fire pump group should be stopped immediately, the oil stains should be cleaned and the source of leakage should be removed.
Temperature control: The fire pump group will generate heat during operation, and the operator should avoid direct contact with its surface to prevent burns.
Prohibition of illegal operation: It is strictly forbidden to adjust the speed of the diesel engine at will to ensure that it operates within the normal range. At the same time, it is strictly forbidden to put hands or other objects close to the running mechanical parts to avoid accidents.
By strictly complying with the above precautions, the normal operation of the diesel engine fire pump group can be ensured, and its reliability and safety in fire response can be improved.
