Reasons for demagnetization of magnetic pump

19-07-2024

The main reasons for the demagnetization of magnetic pumps are as follows:

1. Excessive temperature

Long-term low-flow operation: During the operation of the magnetic pump, if it is in a low-flow state for a long time, or the outlet valve is closed for too long, the temperature of the medium inside the pump will increase.

Deterioration of bearing lubrication: As the temperature of the medium increases, the lubrication performance of the pump's bearings will also deteriorate, further exacerbating the temperature rise.

Pipeline blockage: Dirt blocking the internal cooling/lubrication pipeline will also cause the temperature of the internal and external magnetic cylinders to rise rapidly, thereby increasing the risk of demagnetization.

2. Improper maintenance

Iron filings remain: When repairing the magnetic pump, if you do not pay attention to cleaning and hygiene, iron filings may be adsorbed on the internal magnet, causing the isolation sleeve to be worn through by fine iron filings, resulting in the demagnetization of the magnetic pump.

Axial clearance problem: If the axial clearance between the inner rotor and the isolation sleeve is set too small, it may lose magnetism due to excessive friction after long-term operation.

3. Thrust bearing wear

If the thrust bearing inside the magnetic pump is not operated scientifically for a long time, it will cause increased wear. When the thrust bearing is worn to a certain extent, friction may occur between the inner magnetic rotor and the isolation sleeve, resulting in demagnetization.

4. Blockage of ventilation duct

If the ventilation duct in the magnetic pump is blocked, the temperature of the magnetic cylinder inside and outside the magnetic pump will rise, which will gradually cause the magnetic force to fade.

Preventive measures

Regular inspection and maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the magnetic pump to ensure that all components are in good condition.

Pay attention to cleaning: Pay attention to cleaning and hygiene during the inspection and maintenance process to avoid impurities such as iron filings entering the pump body.

Reasonable setting of clearance: Reasonable setting of the axial clearance between the inner rotor and the isolation sleeve according to the use requirements of the magnetic pump.

Scientific operation: Ensure that the magnetic pump operates under scientific conditions to avoid long-term low-flow operation or overload operation.
