Selection and application of deep well pumps

03-07-2024

A deep well pump is a device specially used to extract groundwater from deep wells. Its selection and application are crucial to ensure the working efficiency and service life of the water pump. The following is a brief overview of the selection and application of deep well pumps:

1. Selection

Well depth and head: First, the head of the deep well pump needs to be determined according to the depth of the well. For example, for a well as deep as 176 meters, a deep well pump with a rated head of at least 176 meters should be selected, such as the 300QJ125-176 model pump, where "176" represents the rated head of the pump.

Flow demand: The flow rate of the pump is determined according to the water demand. For example, if 125 cubic meters of water needs to be extracted per hour, a pump with a rated flow rate of 125 cubic meters/hour should be selected, such as the "125" in the 300QJ125-176 model pump represents the flow rate.

Well diameter matching: The diameter of the deep well pump should match the well diameter to ensure that the pump body can be lifted and lowered smoothly in the well and reduce operating wear. Generally, the well diameter should be 20 to 40 mm larger than the maximum diameter of the pump body.

Water quality and medium: Consider water quality conditions, such as whether it contains impurities, sand particles, etc., to select the appropriate pump type and material. For example, the ultra-deep well pump in oil-cooled water is suitable for occasions where the water quality is clear and free of impurities, while the blade drilling deep well pump is suitable for deep wells containing sand impurities.

2. Application

Deep well pumps are widely used in many fields:

Agricultural irrigation: Pumping groundwater to the fields to meet the needs of crop growth and improve crop yield and quality.

Urban water supply: Provide a stable groundwater source for urban residents and enterprises to ensure the normal operation of the city and the daily water use of residents.

Industrial water: In industrial fields such as manufacturing and mining, deep well pumps provide factories with a large amount of water to ensure the smooth progress of industrial production.

Groundwater recharge and drainage: By extracting groundwater for recharge or drainage, the balance of groundwater levels is maintained to prevent problems such as stratum collapse.

Geothermal utilization: In geothermal development, deep well pumps are used for groundwater recharge and lifting to achieve efficient utilization of geothermal energy.
