The structure of liquid ring vacuum pump
The structure of the liquid ring vacuum pump mainly includes the following parts:
Pump body: The pump body of the liquid ring vacuum pump is usually made of metal materials such as cast iron or stainless steel. The shape and size of its interior determine the path and speed of gas flow. The pump body is an ellipse consisting of two eccentric semicircular cavities, with a partition in the middle depending on whether it is single-stage or double-stage.
Rotor: The rotor is usually made of metal materials such as cast iron or stainless steel and is the only moving part in the liquid ring vacuum pump. The rotor has multiple blades and is eccentrically installed in the pump housing. When the rotor rotates, it throws the liquid to the pump housing and forms a liquid ring. The number and shape of the rotor will affect the compression effect of the liquid ring.
Liquid ring: The liquid ring is usually water or other liquids, and its function is to generate centrifugal force and compress the gas. The density and viscosity of the liquid ring will affect the effect of compressing the gas. The liquid ring and the rotor blades form a rotary variable displacement vacuum pump with periodic volume changes.
Inlet and outlet: The inlet and outlet of the liquid ring vacuum pump are usually pipes made of metal. The gas enters the liquid ring from the inlet and is discharged from the outlet after compression.
Gas distributor: The gas distributor is installed between the side cover and the pump housing, and there is a friction fit surface with the impeller, so the manufacturing precision requirements are high.
Other accessories: The liquid ring vacuum pump can also be equipped with accessories, such as gas ball valves, adsorbers and filters, etc., to achieve specific process requirements. In addition, the liquid ring vacuum pump also includes end covers, bearing bodies and bearing glands, water inlet/drain pipes and shaft seals. There are two bearings, which are fixed in the bearing seat located on the side cover, lubricated with grease and equipped with bearing glands. The shaft seal structure can adopt two types of structures: stuffing box seal and mechanical seal.
In summary, the structure of the liquid ring vacuum pump is complex and precise, and the various parts cooperate with each other to realize its vacuum function.
