Wiring method of deep well submersible pump cable

16-07-2024

The wiring method of deep well submersible pump cable is a meticulous and critical process. The following are the detailed steps:

1. Preparation

Tool and material preparation:

Prepare a 500W soldering iron, rosin, solder, 1mm bare copper wire and insulating tape (such as polyvinyl chloride tape, self-adhesive butyl rubber tape).

Make sure all tools and materials are qualified products to avoid unnecessary damage during wiring.

Cable processing:

Strip off the outer sheath and main insulation layer of the cable to expose about 35-40mm of copper wire. Be careful not to damage the conductor. The length of the exposed copper wire should not be too long, generally not more than 60mm.

Trim the rubber near the core part into a cone for subsequent wrapping.

Scrape off the insulating paint film of the conductor to ensure that there is no oil, water and other debris at the joint.

2. Wiring steps

Wire core processing:

Grind the oxide layer on the core clean, and wipe the core and the insulation layer and sheath layer to be wrapped with alcohol (preferably hydrochloric acid), and then let it dry naturally.

Welding:

Use bare copper wire to evenly tie the cable core to ensure close contact between the cores.

Use an electric soldering iron to heat and infiltrate tin, requiring penetration and uniform infiltration. During the welding process, pay attention to controlling the temperature to avoid overheating and damage to the core.

Use a file to repair the flat welding part, and no burrs or sharp shuttles are allowed. Wipe the part to be wrapped with alcohol again and dry it.

Wrapping:

First, wrap three layers of self-adhesive butyl tape half-overlapped and gradually extended to the outside of the core. The tape must be stretched 200% during wrapping to ensure tight wrapping.

The outer layer is then wrapped with three layers of polyvinyl chloride tape half-overlapped and gradually extended outward. The wrapped part should not be shorter than 200mm to ensure the insulation effect.

Three-core cable processing:

If it is a three-core cable connector, the three connector positions should be staggered a certain distance in sequence to prevent short circuit.

III. Subsequent processing

Insulation resistance test:

After the cable is connected, the insulation resistance of the cable and the motor (without water) should be shaken and measured, and the value should not be less than 150 megohms. This is an important step to ensure the quality of wiring and insulation performance.

Power-on test:

Perform a power-on test to check whether the direction of rotation is correct (no more than 2 seconds). This step is a key step to confirm the direction of motor operation.

Downhole and monitoring:

While going down the well, keep shaking and measuring the insulation resistance to observe its changes to prevent the cable insulation from being damaged by the well wall. If it is found that the insulation level drops rapidly to below 0.5 megohms, the unit should be immediately lifted up to detect the cause.

If no unexpected situation occurs, the unit can be started and tested through the steps mentioned above after the well is completed.

Precautions

Safe operation:

Strictly abide by the safety operating procedures during the entire wiring process to ensure personal and equipment safety.

Quality inspection:

After the wiring is completed, a comprehensive quality inspection should be carried out to ensure that all wiring is firm and reliable and the insulation performance is good.

Maintenance:

Regularly maintain the submersible pump and its cable to extend its service life and ensure its normal operation.
