The self-priming pump is a type of centrifugal pump that features a compact structure, convenient operation, smooth running, easy maintenance, high efficiency, long service life, and strong self-priming ability. It does not require the installation of a bottom valve in the pipeline, and before operation, only needs to ensure that a certain amount of liquid is stored inside the pump body. Different liquids can be handled by self-priming pumps with different materials.
The working principle of the self-priming pump is to fill the pump casing with water (or the pump casing itself contains water) before starting the pump. After starting, the high-speed rotation of the impeller causes the water in the impeller channels to flow towards the volute casing, creating a vacuum at the inlet, which opens the non-return valve, allowing the air in the suction pipe to enter the pump and reach the outer edge through the impeller channels.
Self-priming pump overview
The self-priming pump can be installed without a bottom valve and does not require priming, like a typical clear water self-priming pump. It is also able to handle large particle solid materials with a diameter up to 60% of the outlet diameter, as well as fibers up to 1.5 times the impeller diameter, such as sewage, sediment, waste impurities, and viscous liquids. It significantly reduces the labor intensity and is easy to install and use, requiring less maintenance.
Cast Iron Self Priming Pump Product Advantages
● Strong sewage discharge capability: Special impeller anti-clogging design ensures high-efficiency and non-blocking operation.
● High efficiency and energy saving: Hydrodynamic design results in 3-5% higher efficiency compared to typical self-priming pumps.
● Excellent self-priming performance: The self-priming height is 1 meter higher than that of a typical self-priming pump, and the self-priming time is shorter.
