This series of diesel engine driven water pumps are mainly divided into two types. One type is based on a high suction self-priming sewage pump that cannot run empty, and the other type is based on a new type of strong self-priming pump that can run empty and has an additional vacuum auxiliary device. The difference between the two types of diesel engine pumps is that the cost of the conventional type is lower. Before starting the diesel engine self-priming pump, the pump chamber must be filled with liquid. The conventional self-priming height is only 4-5 meters (our company's diesel engine self-priming pump without the need for an auxiliary vacuum system can be customized to achieve a self-priming height of 8 meters), and the flow rate can reach 1500 cubic meters. The new type of diesel engine water pump with a vacuum auxiliary system has a strong self-priming capacity, with a self-priming height of 8-9 meters, and can suction water from a horizontal distance of around 150 meters, with a fast water discharge time. The flow rate can be selected within a wide range, and high flow rates can reach 2600 cubic meters per hour. In addition, the new type of vacuum-assisted diesel engine water pump unit has two types of vacuum auxiliary devices for users to choose from.


One type of vacuum pump system relies on the power of the diesel engine shaft to drive the vacuum pump together with the self-priming pump through a pulley, so the entire system is always in a state of dry suction vacuum, making the self-priming performance more stable, and it is called a non-stop vacuum-assisted diesel engine water pump. The other type automatically stops when water is detected being sucked up by the vacuum pump, through a clutch, making the price of this type of diesel engine water pump unit relatively higher. Both types of vacuum-assisted diesel engine water pump units have the same self-priming performance.


The diesel engine water pump unit is widely applicable to municipal sewage and flood control projects, agricultural irrigation, etc. It features a simple structure, good self-priming performance, strong sewage discharge capability, high efficiency, energy saving, convenient maintenance, and a compact integrated or movable outdoor design.


Usage conditions for Drive Large Capacity Water Pumps

  • 1) The series of diesel engine driven water pump units are suitable for use in an environment with a temperature ≤50°C, with a medium temperature of <80°C. Special requirements can reach up to 200°C.

  • The pH value of the medium conveyed by the diesel engine water pump unit is 6-9 for cast iron material and 2-13 for stainless steel diesel engine water pump units.

  • The specific gravity of the medium being suctioned by the diesel engine water pump unit does not exceed 1240kg/m3.

  • The self-priming height for the standard type of diesel engine water pump unit should not exceed 8 meters, with a suction pipe length of <20 meters. For the vacuum-assisted type of diesel engine water pump, the self-priming height should not exceed 9 meters, and the horizontal distance can be extended up to 300 meters according to requirements.
