Heavy Oil Gear Pump Application Description
This pump is designed for transporting media that becomes thick, solidifies, or crystallizes under normal temperature but is easy to flow when maintained at a certain temperature, such as asphalt, paraffin, rosin, and similar liquids, with a temperature not exceeding 200℃.
The RCB insulated gear pump is available in two materials, ordinary and cast steel, both of which come with insulation jackets. The insulated pump is suitable for liquids that have solidification or crystallization under normal temperature but are easy to flow and have lubricity when heated and maintained at a certain temperature, as well as for outdoor installation in cold areas and process occasions that require insulation. When the pump starts to work, it is first preheated to reduce the starting power. It is suitable for conveying liquids that require high hygiene conditions and have corrosive or non-corrosive properties. The conveyed medium does not contain solid particles, and the temperature is not higher than 350℃, with a viscosity of 5cSt-1500cSt, such as various chemical raw materials, filled medicines, food, cosmetics, detergents, printing and dyeing, brewing, resins, and rubber industries. The pump is driven by either a motor or a gearbox, and when the liquid viscosity exceeds 1500cSt, a gearbox drive should be used.

It is also suitable for outdoor installation in cold areas and process occasions that require insulation. It can be heated and insulated by heat media such as thermal oil, hot water, and steam. The pump body of this asphalt insulated pump is equipped with a circulating jacket and inlet and outlet ports, which can be used for heating, insulation, and cooling of the liquid being transported and the pump by heat media such as thermal oil, steam, hot water, and cold water. The asphalt insulated pump can be made of stainless steel and is suitable for conveying liquids that require high hygiene conditions or have corrosive properties.
