Hydrochloric Acid Pump is widely applicable in industries such as petrochemical, acid and alkali production, non-ferrous metal smelting, acid pickling in automobile manufacturing, rare earth separation, pesticides, dyes, pharmaceuticals, paper making, electroplating, and radio. Operating temperature: -20°C to 100°C.

1. Hydrochloric Acid Pump

The commonly used highest concentration of hydrochloric acid is 38%. Therefore, for overflow components made of plastic, the FSB fluoroplastic alloy centrifugal pump or CQB-F magnetic pump can be selected based on their service life and cost-effectiveness, as both pumps offer satisfactory performance and price.

2. Sulfuric Acid Pump

Sulfuric acid pumps are divided into dilute sulfuric acid pumps and concentrated sulfuric acid pumps. For the former, options include engineering plastic pumps, ceramic pumps, F46 pumps, and F26 pumps. However, for the latter (concentrated sulfuric acid pumps), only fluoroplastic (46 pumps) can be selected, as concentrated sulfuric acid will corrode common engineering plastics, while fluoroplastics are corrosion-resistant. It should be noted that concentrated sulfuric acid has a high density, so when selecting a pump, the motor power should be increased.

3. Acid-resistant Pump for Hydrofluoric Acid

Hydrofluoric acid is highly corrosive, and it is recommended to use a fluoroplastic magnetic pump, with ceramic components of this pump needing to be replaced with materials resistant to hydrofluoric acid.

4. Nitric Acid

For nitric acid transfer pumps, it is also advisable to use fluoroplastic magnetic pumps, with rubber seals made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).

5. Acetic Acid

Acetic acid is one of the most corrosive substances among organic acids. Ordinary steel will severely corrode in acetic acid of various concentrations and temperatures, making stainless steel a good material for resisting acetic acid. Silver-containing 316 stainless steel can also be used in high-temperature and dilute acetic acid vapor. For stringent requirements of high temperature, high concentration acetic acid, or containing other corrosive media, high-alloy stainless steel or fluoroplastic magnetic pumps can be chosen.

6. Saltwater (Seawater)

The corrosion rate of common steel materials in sodium chloride solution, seawater, and brine is not very high and generally requires protective coatings. Various stainless steels have a lower uniform corrosion rate, but may cause localized corrosion due to ammonia ions. Generally, 316 stainless steel is better, but it is relatively expensive. It is recommended to choose fluoroplastic centrifugal pumps, such as the IHF chemical centrifugal pump.

7. Seals for Acid-resistant Pumps

Seal Type: Magnetic pumps use a static sealing form, so there is no need to consider sealing performance. Generally, centrifugal pumps use externally mounted bellows mechanical seals, which have good corrosion resistance and wear resistance. If the conveyed medium contains particles, a hard-to-hard mechanical seal can be used.

They are noiseless, non-toxic, have low friction coefficient, and good resistance to adhesion. You can choose based on these characteristics as per your requirements.
